Does anyone know the exact spacing of the front sight holes on the original Exemplar? Also, does anyone know of a front sight base that will align with these holes, fit the contour of the barrel and accept an Anschutz globe sight designed to fit on to the standard Anschutz 11mm dovetail? Finally, does anyone know a good source to machine such a base (assuming there is not one readily available)?
Thank you!

Re: Anschutz Exemplar Front Sight Hole Spacing
I modified a base (ETA: Actually two, over a period of time, or three?) a while back. Will see if I can find the old post, but it may have more to do with the thread size...

Here it is:
"Front sight screw size for Anschutz Exemplar?"
Link below:

Spacing 16mm.
Hole sizes, etc. discussed in thread above.
You just need a long base with a reasonable radius/v-flats on the bottom. I used a couple from my spare 'Merican bases. If you use one of the existing holes with the one you add it'll still work even though the screw will be a loose fit in the old hole.
Realistically, you can probably not worry about using two screws, especially if you epoxy the base to the barrel. I just happen to have milling machines, etc. handy.

Re: Anschutz Exemplar Front Sight Hole Spacing
I ordered a front sight on eBay that looked like it might work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Ansch ... SwApRdkoGv
Price was ok to take a chance on. Won't be here for a couple weeks so will let you know if it works. As it would happen, since then I had a friend send me one from an original Exemplar complete with hood! Just need the M3x.05x12mm black flat head screws to attach with.
Original shown for comparison with eBay item. Post is different, not sure about the rest.

Tim,
I'll look around the gun room, I may have an original front sight that you can butcher up if the links don't work out (I know Dan is working on them, right now all the picks are just digital blocks of different colors). I can't see open sights anymore, so it's not like I'm saving them for anything. Shoot me a text in a couple days to remind me.
