.300 ACC Blackout for field pistol

Post by Jimologist »

The above cartridge will not be allowed to be shot in Field Pistol at Pickaway County Sportsmen Club which is located near Circleville, Oh.

Our match dates are posted in the master schedule along with my contact information.

In addition as always any other cartridges that produce any target damage will be disqualified.

Out of curiosity, would you consider allowing it if it was stipulated that it must be loaded for sub-sonic velocity?

Would I be correct that you are referring to PH short course? PH Long is shot on BB targets.

I'm surprised someone hasn't chimed in by now (so I will) about allowing 300 Whisper and/or 300/221 Rimmed. You know how rule Nazis are, if you don't mention all three cartridges someone will suspect the unmentioned one or ones are allowed. I'm sure that will be three NOs from Jim.

For this ban, I consider .300 whisper, .300 ACC Blackout, .300-.221, and the .300-.221 rimmed to all be the same.
In fact I have a reamer from PTG that is marked with both designations. Rimmed is different of course.
None are appropriate for FP. And of course that goes for PH short.
