Old shooter coming back after nearly 40 years
Old shooter coming back after nearly 40 years
I'm starting to get the silhouette bug again. When I last shot Big Bore around 1988, I shot AAA Production Freestyle, and AAA Unlimited. I shot either a TC 7TCU or a 357 Herrett. Too much recoil now in the Herrett so back to the 7TCU. I was wondering what current classes I can shoot with a 14" TC in 7TCU? I would like to go to a scope if possible. Thanks!

I personally have no problem with your reclassifying. Others may disagree. After all it's been 40 years. If you are still AAA you will get there soon enough.
As far as the 14 inch 7tcu. Use a variable pistol scope and shoot it in UAS, UASHS and Practical Hunter.

Thanks for the info. As far as I can tell there's only one club in Michigan shooting silhouette. Is that correct?
Thanks.

I believe there is only one. Adam Davis is the person to get a hold of.

Greg is correct about the categories available for a scoped TC in 7TCU. Since optics were not a category in 1988, you'll simply be unclassified (skill level) until you get some scores fired. Add a 14" 22 barrel and another scope and double your fun without the shock of funding ammo!
Welcome back!
