Thread pitch
Does anyone know the thread pitch on the elevation screw on a Williams Foolproof sight? How do you keep up with zero with all those clicks.

After ten, you have to take your shoes off!
There are 20 clicks per revolution. I mark 5 clicks(4 marks) all the way around the screw, which helps some in keeping track of where you are.

Re: Thread pitch
Once I find my chicken setting, i draw a silver line across the screw or adjustment knob then fill the line on the side with red fingernail polish. (Use a very fine toothpick) . With the red line lined up and my silver line on top, that is my chicken zero. Pigs, turkeys , and rams will be clicks up from that

I mark a starting point mark, count the revolutions, and then the clicks.
