Could someone explain to me why the below auction went for as much as it did? I am thinking they just got in a bidding frenzy.
For the record I got out of the bidding at a buck seventy. :geek:

Re: I dont get it...
Bob,
I am a Daisy dealer & sell the 747 for $175 NIB plus freight.
The key is the scope. I searched for quite some time for a Bushnell 4x scope with an AO & cannot find one. I don't know if this is a discontinued scope or what. From the photos it is a Bushnell Sportsman.
Maybe someone else can help on the scope value.

I offer the 747 for $175 plus freight (price subject to change if Daisy changes it). The only service I offer is a trigger job by my gunsmith for $40. Price again subject to change. You can google RB Grips if you are after aftermarket grips. They are excellent.

Re: I dont get it...
Wow I have two of those scopes. I seem to remember paying 39.00 for it in the early ninties. They were called air gun scopes and the AO worked down to 10 yards. I tried them on a field pistols with a taco hold. I had one a a .22 that I still have and one on a .357 that worked great with 110 grain field pistol loads. Unfourtunatly the cross hair broke when I tried a hot 180 gr .357 load. Live and learn a 39.00 scope is a 39.00 scope. I also have a 3X9 AO of the same style and vintage. I had absolutly no idea that there was a market for these scopes.
