scope for half scale

what are your choices for scopes for UASHS and why? i am looking to make an informed purchase

I am not, I repeat not being a smart aleck. Buy the best you can afford. Most shooters will tell you the Leupold 2.5-8x or the Bushnell 3200 2-6x.To my knowledge they are the most forgiving in the eye relief department. I use a Bushnell Trophy 2-6x for the full size targets but is a little less than desirable on the half scale targets. If I could afford the Leupold I would have them on all my creedmore guns. They will set you back about $500.00.

I also use the Trophy 2x6 for half scale...not optimal but works...

I recently had a very bad experience with the bushnell waranty. Basicly their warranty sucks. In the past I bought their products because they supposidly had a great warranty. I will never buy another Bushnell product.

I use the Leupy 2-8X on my UAS Striker and like it but some days that eye relief can give me fits. I want to give the Weaver 2-8X a try. Afterall, if tonedaddy can hit targets with it, it must be a good scope. But he hasn't tried it on half scale yet!!!!

Yes, The Leupold 2.5--8x will empty your wallet if you purchase it new. Fortunately they do show up on the secondary market and at a more reasonable price. No, you wont find one every week. The more places you search the more likely you run across one. rp

i came across a older bausch and lomb 3000 2x6 with target turret that works well for me,i can actually use it turned all the way up without really effecting the eye relief,wish i could do that with my 3200 bushnells

I've been using Tasco's Pro-class 6X pistol scopes on all my UAS guns now since IHMSA opened up UAS. This is an underrated pistol scope that has target knobs, a 40mm adjustable objective lense, and repeatable settings. They also make one a little smaller in a 4X. They were very inexpensive when they came out....and discontinued in the late '80's but you can find them out there for $150 and up. I have six or seven of them. I shoot rear grip XP's and TCs and have a very hard time finding a scope that will have enough eye relief for creedmore. The Tascos have a 30mm tube, as opposed to the normal 1inch bodies of the other pistol scopes out there. As it was explained to me, this is what allows the scope to have more eye relief than the 1" tubes. The repeatable settings have been working for me since the early '90's without any failures. Some of them come with a large dot in the crosshairs, and some with small dot. Your choice. Don't let the name fool you....this is a quality scope. Used it in 1/2 size, .22 and big bore. lots of 40's and shootoffs. It won't let you down.

I use a Weaver fixed power 36x with fine crosshairs, it's awesome! Of course I shoot from the flop position.

I feel the same way as Pbsinger. The last dealing I had with Bushnell was the cross heirs broke. They said that was not under warranty and with the shipping and with the check to get it back was over half what a new scope would have cost. Their warranty is lacking!
