Big Bore Records Program (BBRP) 2021 (update 2)

2021 is in full swing and I think most all ranges are shooting now.

Jim Kesser (OH) shot a S-29, P-37, R-37 and a U-40 for a 3-gun 106 and a 4-gun 143

Jim Kesser (OH) at the June match shot an outstanding S-33, P-38, R-39 and U-36 along with a US-30 for a 3-gun 110, a 4-gun 146 and a Standing agg or 63. This raised Jim's 3 and 4-gun aggs.

Paul Habig (NV) Shot a S-27, U-40, R-40 and a P-37 for a 3-gun 107 and a 4-gun 144

Joe Cullison (OR) shot a S-36, R-40 and a P-40 for a 3-gun 116. Then he remembered he did not bring his unlimited gun along to shoot a 4-gun agg. He also didn’t have enough ammo to shoot either Revolver or Production again.

Joe Cullison (OR) shot a standing agg in April with a S-33 and a US-33 for a standing agg of 66.


State totals for 2021 are: OH-4, NV-3, OR-3

Whats the current Big Bore 3 gun agg record?

Thank You for the kind comment Jim. It was a good day at the range. After getting 2 turkeys in the first bank I managed to run the last 15 targets straight. Never give up.

The 3-gun record is 117 and the 4-gun is 157. I believe that was shot by John Dunn and if I remember the story correctly he used a borrowed Revolver and ammo to shoot his third 40 to go along with his Standing 37. An incredible feat.

I believe I have shot a 116 before but it has been over 10 years ago.

Should have shot the standing gun again for an unlimited entry. Great, impressive, awesome shooting Joe!

Good thought but I didn't have enough ammo for the standing gun either. I had the unlimited ammo but no gun. Even between all three guns I only had a little less than 20 rounds left.
