Gone crazy....Again

Well, the world of America has officially gone crazy, ... again.
The latest 22LR shortage has arrived. It looks like I'm even late at noticing. I just saw on Gunbroker that 500 rounds of cheap 22 ammo was going for $77 (so far.) You know its bad when people are asking $100 for a brick of Remington golden bullets.
Just to verify I checked a half dozen match ammo vendors and they are almost completely out too.

I suppose Smallbore entries may be dropping off a bit.

We will have to wait and see how long this one lasts. Such a shame, but honestly, we do this to ourselves. I know it got started during the pandemic but all of our gun owning relatives started panic buying. So here we are again.

As far as match ammo, I am good ! Last year I ordered a couple of bricks of SK Standard Plus from MidwayUSA, and it was "lost" in shipment. I had them resend the order, and received them promptly. 2 weeks later my original order arrived, so I called them and had them bill me. With the amount of smallbore shooting I do it should get me through the next couple of years. Concerning plinking ammo - I have plenty ! Now, if I could only find some CCI-400 SR primers !!!

If your gun club is a member of CMP,and OKCGC is.You can order directly from them & get a case of CMP 22 “Eley” for about $ 350 & free shipping.Your allowed 2 cases per year.I ordered 5K last year,I have about 2K left.2 one of our members received there orders this past week,1 ordered 5K the other 10K.
One of our members called me yesterday & said that the CMP 22 case was sold out.They may have some of Eley’s in 500 lots.

I have almost a case of Eley Tenex, and 6 bricks of Eley Match Black box. Bought well before all this craziness began.
One brick of SK Standard, and some odds and ends.
Now,if we can just get together to shoot!

I saw this coming. I had some extra money and bought every .22 I could afford. I also bought every primer I could find in the last few months. I bought as few as a 100 at a time. Whatever I find I buy.
