Recruiting, I can't catch a break this year!

So after bringing 15 newbies to matches last year this year has been a "bad luck Schleprock" year. (Flintstones reference for any youngsters)

Today was the biggest disappointment. I've been working on recruiting one of the Execs from the Columbus Blue Jackets. He is a helo pilot in the National Guard and was really excited to come to Circleville this Saturday. We've been corresponding via email and hung out with him at Nationwide arena during Team USA practice for the World Cup of Hockey. He was very excited. I sent him an email a couple of days ago with no response so I called the CBJ today. My old ticket rep who is in charge of Corporate Sales answered the phone and told me he is no longer with the club.

DAMN IT!! I'll never stop recruiting but was excited to perhaps snag a few new shooters from such a high profile organization. With two matches left after Saturday this calendar year maybe I should just concentrate on shooting for a couple weeks.
