I cannot say enough good about the IHMSA software. After Robert was kind enough to guide a virtual computer illiterate through the set up.
I have been using it for all my matches this year and it is a godsend.

I am currently using it on three computers, one with XP, and two with Windows 7.

It is my understanding that John Fouts has given us the code and it will be up to us to update the software. Only downside I had with the current edition is the lack of Practical hunter categories. The way around that is to list them as Non-Sanctioned and name them in the NS1 NS2 etc.

I also am interested to see if someone has been able to load it on Windows 10.

I am getting ready to replace my home desktop and might do it myself.

Robert, Thank-you again , you are the #1 MAN!!! I dont care what Melvin says!

Thanks Jim and you are most welcome for any assistance I provided. Every Match Director should take this software for a spin. It is my most sincere wish that IHMSA sees the benefits of this software and invests the necessary funds to update it and keep it updated.
I do not have access to Windows 10, or I would try it. This IHMSA software and the Sierra Infinity Ballistic program are the only reason I run Windows at all.

Thanks Stuart, I'll heed your advice if I have the opportunity to obtain Windows 10

Jim, Melvin has some redeeming qualities also.....he's a INTL class spotter and a real great grandpa; oh, and I forgot he can cut grass and scoop cow poop with the best of them. :)) :))

first problem.... You will NEVER find windows 10 on any of my computers! :D :D

we do have some volunteers looking at the software though to get it updated. do not ask me who they are though!

My problem with the software is the output is RTF format for match reports which does not store any formatting information. I always have to open it with word, edit the file and then add it to the news X(

Nutcase, thank you for your response.......
Your problem with the RTF format may be different than those of us who are not setting up the newspaper. I save the documents as RTFs and then open them with word, perform my editing and then save as a Word.docx document and send them in to headquarters and you. If you prefer some other format, please advise me, and I'll try.
Hopefully, if we are able to get the software updated, the formatting can be adjusted and we can setup for the document types that best suits our needs today.

that is how I am doing it now. it is just that RTF format went away actually in 2003. my problem is when I try to directly import an RTF file into the newsletter. it works fine after I change it to a word document.

But, the Imatch software does need updating as it has been a long time since it was last updated.
