We had a better than usual turnout for our July Match. Region 2 Director Allen Gaskin joined us today and recorded some good scores with his Freedom Arms revolver in three separate categories. Philip Braud continued to shine with his “Flop” Ruger Charger firing a 40X40 in both UAS and UASFS. Richard West and Jay Clark each drove over from the Lafayette area to join us today. David Heintz and Robert Stevens also shared the range with us. Notably absent for most of this match was my lovely wife, Carolyn, who normally sets all the targets which forced Philip and I to complete that task. Boy, did we miss her! She did finally show up late in the day to rescue us for the last few entries. There were also several NRA Cowboy Lever Action shooters to help fill the line. Only two monthly matches remain before the Louisiana State Championship Match scheduled for October. Y’all come see us!
