Thanks Striker. If they do indeed come it would be nice to give prizes at a meal one night. They could show us giving some prizes and they were given on a equal basis not for the ability to hit targets.
I am sending to the 49 donors that gave last year.

There are currently discussions amongst the executive committee trying to coordinate with shooting USA on which major match(s) they can attend.

Re: Contacting Shooting USA?????
I will probably get slammed for this. I think it is more important to cover a locally run regional match. In my opinion and only my opinion we have decided what we want to do and done it. 19turkeys runs his match the way he wants to and David and myself ran the first two ECC matches the way we want to. Now that someone has stepped up and took over for David and I we only volunteer and do what the new match directors deem ok. I feel these new type matches will soon outdraw the World Championships. We don't have to get up a commitee to see if anyone wants to film the match is alright. Of course its the right thing to do. Matches since the beginning should have been filmed. Every vendor that makes anything remotely used in IHMSA should be sponsoring matches and they should see their banners on tv and in print ads for our sport.tonedaddy wrote:Hopefully they move faster on this than many other things they have dropped the ball on!hardtoseeovergut wrote:There are currently discussions amongst the executive committee trying to coordinate with shooting USA on which major match(s) they can attend.

Re: Contacting Shooting USA?????
I suppose since there has been no movement on this in this post in the last month I infuriated everyone. The original premise was to get them to film the ECC then it turned into where do we want them to film at. I suppose I'm a little selfish because I want to see the ECC succeed somewhere. So has anyone taken 260striker's idea and used it somewhere else. Or is filming any match a dead horse now.35isit wrote:I will probably get slammed for this. Re: Contacting Shooting USA?????
Greg, When I talked to Jim Scoutten last year he said his team needed a three month notice to plan for filming shooting events. We are getting to the point if Shooting USA is not notified soon then they will not be able to schedule filming one of our major events this year. As much as people say we need visibility of our sport I hate to see this opportunity pass us by. I hope someone associated with our major shooting events can provide some reply even if the reply is to say they did not want TV coverage for their particular match. I remember seeing some local TV coverage for one of the WCCs and I'm sure there was a lot of handholding for the TV crew which does take away from the resources running the match. It was great coverage by a local station.

Re: Contacting Shooting USA?????
That's why we should have grabbed them when we could. Procrastination has killed many a good idea. If the powers that be at TUSCO wants them to film, whoever has any contact with them should get them there now!!!!!!!!260 Striker wrote:Greg, When I talked to Jim Scoutten last year he said his team needed a three month notice to plan for filming shooting events.
