Richard is an all round wonderful person. It was a delight to have him at the West Coast last year, and I personally look forward to his return. Hint, hint Richard! :D

Melvin you beat me to the punch ~o)
Here’s my side of the story :-h

Feels like home
Three years ago when I started this mania the 1st. match I shot at was
In Gainsville Ga. were they shoot SB and FP. I took the only halfway silhouette guns I had at the time
A Single six and contender with a hornet barrel and red dot and made the 5 hr. drive I shot the single six SB standing And the hornet PAS I think my high score for the day was 6. But before I left that day
Atomic dogg Had me signed up for his Ga. IHMSA news letter, Ron and Sherrie had done about everything but take me home to dinner, And Richard Pickering had show me the finer part of shooting the Taco
Using Eddy Hensly’s gun and ammo they now had me hook line and sinker.
I now make that 5 hr. trip 2 or 3 times a year and they have now adopted me as a Ga. State shooter.
This weekend I made the 6 ½ hr. drive to shoot at the other Ga. Range this one shooting BB and HS
And run By Melvin and Atomic dogg and most of the shooters I know from Gainsville. Just like before they made me feel very welcome and made sure I was a happy camper. And with Jackson not shooting Silhouette after this year Little River will become my Home BB range.
They have already made it feel like home.

Some has the sport on it’s death bed and maybe in some parts it is
But it’s alive and well in Ga. And Oregon thanks to Match directors Like Steve, Melvin, Robert and Ron and shooters like Richard Pickering, 40xmike and a host of others that make sure new or visiting shooters are made to feel welcome
And maybe feel like home :ymapplause:
Melvin my " enthusiasm" is fueled by the shooter from Ga, Oregon and some on this site like Striker 260 and kickbass
but has nothing to do with shooting a 40 or making INT. IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH after the last shot of the day I can say I had a great day with friends and maybe even reach the personal goals I set for that match
of the 5 guns I shot only one had been in a match before the other 4 were all new set ups two of which I had mechanical difficulties
but still had a great day
Oh my plan was to shoot 6 guns But I left the ammo for number 6 at home ~x(

it's midnight and I just got home dog tired but still happy (-| b-(
Thanks for all ya do ^:)^

After meeting ole95 and his lovely wife last summer, my goal is to get them out here for our Region 8 shoot someday. We flew down for the weekend in September on his invite to take in an Alabama football game (for those that don't know Richard, he's kind of a fan...). Like he mentioned, all this shooting is fun, but it is the people that it is really all about. I admire his dedication to shooting and just his overall fun approach to everything!
