Do I need a forming die to make the 7mm int rimed cases out of 30-30 or will just a full length sizing die work?
Thanks Dennis

Just lube up the 30-30 case and run into the full length die. Comes out perfect. Only thing to watch for is using too much lube and getting lube dents but they blow out when you fire the case. Good cartridge for silhouettes. Also good with cast bullets with that long neck.

Cool, Thanks for the info!! didn't want to spend an extra $100.00 with having to already spend $155 for the dies!!260 Striker wrote:Just lube up the 30-30 case and run into the full length die. Don't know if you have already bought the dies but 7 Bullberry dies will work for the 7IntR. The 7 Bullberry is the very same cartridge with a shorter neck. When Elgin Gates came out with the 7IntR he wanted to form a cartridge that you didn't need to trim. Just run a 30-30 in the FL die and load it up. If you go to the Bullberry website you might find dies cheaper. Also CH4D in Marion, OH handles hundreds of dies and I think their most expensive dies are about $90. I bought a set from them for a 30BR that I used to have and they are good dies. By all means, don't let anyone tell you to buy a form die. When I formed 7 Bullberry cases they all came out perfect if I watched for lube dents. Imperial sizing wax and the newer Hornady One Shot sizing wax is great stuff too for forming cases. A little film of either of those is all you would need.

Thanks for the Suggestions but I had already ordered them, and thanks for the tip on wax, I had never used the wax so I will give it a go!260 Striker wrote:Don't know if you have already bought the dies but 7 Bullberry dies will work for the 7IntR.
