First match in 25+ years

Post by kg4tyr »

Shot SB today and had a blast. Actually scored a little better than expected, but the eyes aren't so good anymore and the wind was blowing pretty hard (and whatever more excuses I can come up with) Thanks to the guys at VRPC in Knoxville, TN for their hospitality, encouragement, and help.

When I come off the line in BB and don't do as well as expected, I'm a little down on myself. When I come off the line in SB, I always come off the line with a smile on my face, as I just have so much fun shooting 22's. :D Glad to see that you're back into it.

I shot with David this weekend. He shot pretty good with a gun he had no sight settings for. Were going to be in trouble as he gets the sights dialed in. Hope to see you at another match soon.

It's good to see the old shooters come back. Especially one who hadn't shot in 25 years. Glad Mike and David could get together. I hope David can get some of his fellow shooters in Sevierville to go with him the next time.

P.S. Mike. See if you or your match director can put a match report up on the forum. I enjoy reading them.

I don't think you guys are going to have to worry too much. Maybe someday I'll get a gun more suited to this sport than my Ruger Mark III and get a little closer to you all.
