Great weather for shooting silhouettes! Once again we would like to welcome and thank the new shooters that participated at JPRPC. We have been fortunate to have interest increase for our match's. We hope you enjoyed your shooting experience and plan to return. We missed some of the regular's due to illness. Sorry, we missed you and hope for a speedy recovery.
I would personally like to thank John Blue from Oklahoma for making the long trip to JPRPC. John's a seasoned marksman and brought his "Flop type" BB 6BR to display and educate us on the trends our sport has taken. He shot the only 40 with 5/5 shoot-off targets. John shared many interesting and informative things about IHMSA and shooting in Oklahoma. John also did quite well in Bordello with the winning score of 17. Jeff Jansen also came for the first time with his son Colton and friend Haley. Jeff shot both Bordello and tried his hand at Field Pistol with two excellent scores for his first match. Todd King returned with his new TC in 7-30 Waters and his son Grayson. Todd's score shows a promising future in IHMSA shooting. I predict he will shoot a perfect score this year. We are pulling for you Todd!
Peter Wories also returned with a new TC in 22 Hornet. He is geared up and really enjoys this sport. Also became a new IHMSA member which I encourage all of our shooters to consider. The benefits are many and having a classification card is a record of your progress. When visiting other IHMSA sanctioned matches it is proof of scores shot throughout the year. I know how much work, effort and expense a person puts towards improvement in any shooting sport. The Classification card is the perfect record.
Also, I would like to remind everyone that the East Coast Championship is hosted by Anderson County Sportsman Club in Lawrenceburg, Ky. There match is early in the spring and now is time to get our guns dialed in. Our Field Pistol targets are placed in meters specifically to match there range distances. It would be great to have JPRPC represented by each one of our shooters. Judy and I plan to attend again next year. Darell Holcombe also attended and did quite well.
Thank you to those that helped with the range setup and take down. I am thankful for such a great group of competitors. Our range was mowed and trimmed quite nicely due to the efforts of Lynn McCutchen. Thank you Lynn!
This is our range to enjoy please take advantage of it and this enjoyable sport.
Next match "SUNDAY" July-28-13
First relay on line at 10:00 AM Shooting BB, FP and Bordello.
