Hi Guys,
Same mate also is wanting to shoot cast in his tack driving 6.5BR XP. I know the 6.5 calibre is a bit of a difficult calibre as regards finding a good load but is there anybody out there that has tried this route with the 6.5BR?
Looking for the best boolit and load.

Re: 6.5BR Cast Loads
Just look up any 7BR load with same weight bullet and should be OK. I have tried cast bullets in my 260 Remington without much luck but really only worked with one bullet and one load. Moulds for the 6.5 are harder to find but I'm sure they will shoot with the right load. I have been using SR4759 with cast bullets and have had some good accuracy in other calibers with that powder. Probably 16.0 to 18.0 grains of SR4759 and a 140 grain cast bullet would be close to an accurate load. I am using 17.0 grains of AA5744 in a 30BR with 165 grain cast bullets and that powder has proven to be good with CB too.
