Ft Stockton ?

I just saw a video of Ft Stockton's range and SB pigs being shot. They are auto reset targets. On the video from the last target being hit and the targets being reset was 15 sec. How can you mark your hits, sign youe score card and have some one to witness your hits and sign your score card, all in 15 sec. If the whole range is on the same times of shooting and the BB targets have to be hand reset , why do the SB targets have to be reset so fast ? I have never been there but i an hoping to go this year. I am sere there are people on here that can help me. thanks Charles

The small bore and field pistol targets are auto reset at Ft. Stockton. The big bore and half scale targets are not. Since all targets share the same range there is plenty of time on the small bore targets to get everything taken care off because the entire range needs to wait until the big bore target setters are clear and safe. The targets are only suppose to be painted every forth relay but sometimes the target setters are enthusiastic and paint every time. It’s really never a problem and a relaxed pace. Go and shoot, enjoy and remember to drink lots of fluids.

Are you saying the video on youtube was not what normally done ? That would be bad if they painted before you were finished with that bank. I like to see where i hit and then shoot at my dots. I am guessing that is not normal to miss paint. Thanks Charles

I think the video i saw was stopped and restarted is why it was only 15 sec. I am sure they will give you enugh time to mark every thing. I do not think the targets would be painted during your 20 shot string but if they were left un painted for the next shooter that could mess them up. I think they would only paint between shooters to save time and paint. We do not paint except at the start and every one shoots the targets without them being re painted , so i am use too that. ( we are not an aproved range yet ) . We will paint between every shooter when we are.
