Hi
I use peep sights on my unlimited gun as do several others in the OKC area. I shoot from the flop position. I understand that in the early days on IHMSA peep sights were quite common, but then someone tried a Bomar and the rest is history. I believe that a Bomar and blade set up allows for much more pecision in shot placement than peeps sights if you can see them. I can not so I do the next best thing and use peep sights. If not for them I would shoot scopes only. That would be a drag as I enjoy shooting open sights. I have seen others shooting peep sights from the creedoor position an may give it a try. I really don't have a big bore unlimited gun right now. I have been using my 1/2 scale unlimited gun an 22br for the last few years for big bore with mixed success. Sometimes it will ring a target. I am going to have to go to something bigger for more reliability. I still have my old 7br set up for a midgrip and may try to find sights to put on it or I may just build a 6br and shoot from the flop.
