Way back when I discovered IHMSA the club known as Southern Silhouette was shooting on a range near Rutledge, Ga. The Georgia Sport Shooting Assn was involved in the operation. I met several of the folks at the match. I was not able to campaign regularly then.
Ted Urich was one of the Match Directors. Ted was one of several who moved the sport along in its Georgia infancy. A few years passed and Ted left the range approximately Jan 8th, 1988 if I am correct. He would have been just past age 50. I remember that we had snow about that time and Ted's service was held at Horis Ward Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Lois, and a son.
Ted was also a hobby machinist and built some xp100s. He did rebarrel a Marlin 336 for me in the early 1980s. Ted, you are missed and we thank you for your contribution. Richard

I have served as assistant match director, Southern Silhouette club, 1980s. Also, the Griffin Gun Club for Silhouette during the 1990s, to about 2005. For a short period I authored the ''Cast Bullet'' section of The IHMSA News. Joined IHMSA March 1979.
