UAS -

Post by 7br »

I am thinking about giving the UAS and UAS-HS a try. I would probably buy a contender or encore barrel and scope it. I already reload for the 7br, 7tcu and the 6.8 spc. I also cast for all three. I have a fox ridge 18" contender carbine barrel in 7tcu and thought about taking it the smith to get cut down and recrowned. It does makes a heck of a dandy carbine though. I can get factory TC barrels at dealer cost.

Any thoughts on calibers, barrel lengths, manufacturers or just general input?

Brain cramp. I already have a ken light rib on my 7tcu contender. Any recommendations on rings that will return to zero if you remove them and put them back on? Do I need to get super high rings or remove the front sight hood?

If you like your carbine barrel, might as well keep it and try to pick up a 10 or 14 inch TCU barrel on gunbroker or ebay. There are tons of them out there, can pick up pretty cheap. Can't reload any cheaper or easier than the TCU.
