My name is John Hanner. I am not a member of IHMSA and I have actually never shot steel before. I have however been an active paper killer and critter getter since 1994. I am based out of Atlanta Georgia.

Hi,

Steve from Central PA here.

I shot silhouette 25 or so years ago with members of the 7 Mountains Pistol Team. Then life happened. Wife, kids, etc...

I recently aqquired a Dan Wesson 44 with an IHMSA prefix to the serial number. IHMSA-S/1837

Can anyone tell me about the gun?

Were these sold or issued to IHMSA members only?

I plan on using it for deer hunting. I'd like to install a Weigand scope mount and some sort of scope or red dot sight. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Steve

Larry,

How have you been? I haven't spoken to you in quite a while, glad to see you're still slinging lead. Hope all is well!
