High Standard rimfires, Citation or Trophy?
I love all of them to shoot for fun, but I have never owned the Trophy models. Any of you High Standard aficionado's know what the biggest difference is between them the two? The Trophy is a higher blue polish I know. Better trigger?

Re: High Standard rimfires, Citation or Trophy?
I've shot both, I dont remember much difference with the two. From what I've read the trophy had better finish and gold plating. Going from memory, pretty much the same gun otherwise. I had a buddy who had a 90's Mitchel arms citation and that shot good too.
But honestly, I'm no expert on High Standards.

Re: High Standard rimfires, Citation or Trophy?
I have owned both models - previously a Trophy and currently a Citation. The only difference is cosmetic - the Citations will have either a chrome plated or case-hardened trigger and magazine release, while those on the Trophy will be gold plated. I bought a Citation 7 1/4" barreled pistol around 5 years ago. Perfect condition, with (2) magazines and mine has the case-hardened pieces. I found a serial number list online and found that mine was made in 1971. It is NOT for sale !! They are fine pistols !

Re: High Standard rimfires, Citation or Trophy?
There is one other difference between Citation and Trophy models. I can't cite series numbers but some Citations came with a sear engagement adjustment screw at the back of the frame and some didn't. As far as I now all Trophy models had that screw.

I forgot that detail about the sear adjustment screw. (My Citation has the sear adjustment screw !)
