Re: Classification question
if you are shooting the centerfire targets, it would be a centerfire score (Big bore).
Just know, you will probably ring targets with a 22Mag.

Re: Classification question
Muzzlestuffer,
Are you shooting the 1/2 sized targets in Field Pistol at 25/50/75/100 yards/meters?
If you are shooting the full sized Big Bore targets at 50/100/150/200 yards/ meters, i wouldnt think a .22 mag would knock many of them over.
If you are on the Field Pistol range the .22 mag is a good low recoil round and saves you from reloading. It is a legal round for Field Pistol as long as it is shot as manufactured.
However, in my experience, it still will not reliably take legally set rams. You will ring an occasional target.
If it works for you and you’re having fun, go for it!

Re: Classification question
Right now just shooting up to a 100 off hand basically hunter pistol I just started putting these matches together again here in Mesa Az. I used to have them a few years ago but there were some conflicts no I hold them under our bullseye division which makes it much easier politically (long story) I started shooting bullseye last year but really love metallic silhouette shooting.
I'm heading to the HHC match in castle Wyoming in June so just getting some practice in before hand. Still have a lot of load and testing work with my other guns I'm entering. The single shot 260 Remington being the most difficult to develop a load for.
We are not allowed to shoot 22 WMR in the match so I'll have to switch cylinders in the 252 but no worries with that one it's a nail driver to be sure.
