Big Bore-1/2 Scale Presidents club 2024

First and foremost, I only took over the program last august. During that time, I only have 2 scores to report.

1. Dan Meserve of Wyoming shot at Idaho Falls, a great 3-gun score of 104 and a 4-gun score of 140. (S:27, P:39, R:36,U:38)

2. Jim Kesser of OH shot an outstanding 3-gun score of 114 (S:36,P:38,U:40)! This came within 3 targets of the world record which is still held by John Dunn of NV of 117x120!

Now, there is a controversy over the world record concerning standing. This took some research though. It was reported that Joe Kennedy of NV shot a production standing of 39. The problem is that The match director at that time submitted the score as an Unlimited Standing score! After checking Joe’s scorebook for that year, it clearly shows that it was recorded as Production Standing score! Due to this, his score will be classified as the World Record!

Another Item concerning Joe Kennedy is that during an NRA National Championship, He shot a production Standing score of 72x80 which is the highest score shot during any Pistol silhouette shooting organization records. But due to at the time he shot this, NRA guns did not conform to IHMSA standards and for this reason, it is not recognized by IHMSA.

Now, No ½ scale scores were submitted for record.

I am looking for the list of world records for Big bore and ½ scale as I cannot seem to find it. If anybody has the list, could you please forward it to me at 22records@ihmsa.org.
