Anybody using this new Hodgdon Powder yet? I'm considering using it in my .243 but they don't have loads yet for my bullet weight. Any suggestions?

Re: CFE 223
Chris, have you contacted Hodgdon by calling or via email ? They may be able to offer help. Or: Call Sierra Bullets and see if they can offer anything. A third avenue: Wolfe Publishing--Handloader Mag. in Arizona. Richard

Re: CFE 223
Handloader Magazine #278 (June 2012) has a very good article (page 22), and recommended loads for this powder in .243 and 6 other calibers.
According to the author, he wrote "In the .243 Winchester, Hodgdon's data pairs CFE 223 only with light varmit weight bullets from 55 to 75 grains. I selected a Barnes 58-grain Varminiter that astonishingly clocked over 3900 fps - 66 fps over expectations - from my notoriusly worn barrel. Accuracy was still perfectly acceptable." His writing verbatim. The accomanying chart listed the 58gr bullet over 44.9 gr @ 3951 fps. As always becareful and start with a lower dose.
Hope this helps.

Re: CFE 223
I am using CFE 223 in my .243 with heavier bullets (95 grain) now. I'm flattening primers now so I'm still developing the load, but I'm quite happy with the change. (Because I'm still running hot, I won't release the load data...but my Striker loves it.)
