building an XP Clone

Post by kruzer »

In order to build a clone of the XP I need some help. 1) action 2) barrel 3)trigger 4) stock???? Anything else? Just thinking about it and wondering if I'm on the right track. Will need someone to assemble it but where to start?? I am a rookie at building a target gun.

Well, I reckon that all depends on what you mean by Clone?
Why not just buy an XP. If you are not happy with the caliber, then rebarrel the thing. Simple, really.

Defiance action, quality barrel of your choice, Mike Dewey or Dell Taylor trigger, H S Precision stock and Steve Roe of North Carolina to smith it.

I want to do the same thing… Only different :D

What I would like to do is take my Weatherby CFP

And convert it to a midgrip stock in the same vein as the original Weatherby’s

Dell's number should be listed in the IHMSA News. He is a director or officer of some kind. 19 turkeys probably has Mike's phone number. Sadly I do not.
