One of the considerations when using light bullets, e.g. 100 gr., 110 gr. and such for Ram; is that you have to drive them at almost 2500 fps muzzle velocity to maintain a decent TM at 200m. When you do this, you damage the 50m Chickens and most Match Directors will pull you from the line if you start to damage their targets; unless you use a lower velocity load for C,P & T (which just complicates reloading and shooting for some of us). Remember, TM is only a consideration for Rams !!!!ole95 wrote:Ran some numbers using Serria 120gr. 25 cal #1650 with a BC of .357 mv1800 which =1394 @ 200m which = .74
So I would think anything over 1800 with the 120 should work
I use 120 @1950 in a 7tcu

I use 90 gr. bullets running about 2400.fps in my 25 BR.haven't rang a ram yet that I hit, also a couple a week's ago shot at Roberts&Melvins range with a 25-221 using 117 gr.bullets , some rams hit real low just to see they all went down hopes this helps..

When I shot 6BR in my UL XP, I ran 107's at 2400 fps, with no target damage. At least I never heard of any!
