Senior Shooters
I've seen the term "High Senior" used in regards to match results. So at what age do we consider a shooter to be "Senior"? I suspect many of us fit the moniker.

Re: Senior Shooters
I have been thinking that myself, But I cannot find it anywhere where it states the age somebody is a Senior.

You are automatically a senior when they start giving senior discounts at restaurants automatically without even asking!

Re: Senior Shooters
I thought for our purposes it is 70. Some of us that I know will qualify this year. rp
I have served as assistant match director, Southern Silhouette club, 1980s. Also, the Griffin Gun Club for Silhouette during the 1990s, to about 2005. For a short period I authored the ''Cast Bullet'' section of The IHMSA News. Joined IHMSA March 1979.

Re: Senior Shooters
I was aware that IHMSA does allow a "Senior" designation but does not specify what age constitutes the tag. In our society there is no wide spread agreement on what age it takes. Senior associations use 55. Medicare kicks in at 65. Social Security for some starts at age 62. Does anyone know what age is used at the larger matches? Regional & Internationals?

Re: Senior Shooters
We talked about this at the Internationals Annual Meeting around 2004 - the magic number (as I recall) was 60 !

Re: Senior Shooters
I'm pretty sure the definition is senior =60 years of age. Super senior = 70 years of age.
