It is with deep sorrow that I inform IHMSA that Mark Cederquist is no longer with us……It has taken some time for us to discover that he passed in February of 2015. It was such a shock and I imagine that for some of you, this is a shock also, especially with this information coming 11 months after his death.

Earle "Mark" Cederquist

Earle ‘Mark’ Cederquist passed away on February 15, 2015 at his home in Cumming Georgia. He was 69 years old. Mark was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1964 to attend Alexian Brothers School of Nursing. He met his wife Joan, also studying nursing, and they married in 1968.
Mark served from 1967 to 1970 as a Captain in the US Armed Forces and spent a year in Viet Nam. Mark’s career was impressive and included nursing in critical care, emergency room, and cardiology. Mark lived a full and very active life, loved woodworking, shooting, photography, cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends and riding his almost new Harley. He retired in 2012, but within a month was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.
Mark is predeceased by his parents Mary Jane and Earle. He is survived by his wife, Joan, their loving son Timothy Cederquist and his wife Laura and grandson, Cameron. He is also survived by three brothers and a sister: Mitch (Jenn); Dana (Laurie); Virginia (Dan); and Patrick (Kim). Mark leaves an array of good friends, ‘pals’, family (including many nieces and nephews) and just about everyone whose lives he touched. Mark knew no strangers and was loved by all.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 7th 2015 at St. Brendans Catholic Church in Cumming, Ga at 11am.

I did not know Mark - never had the pleasure of his acquaintance, but I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
