Big bore Retro match????
Big bore Retro match????
Here is an idea. Host a retro silhouette match. The original 4 guns big bore only P, U, R, and S. Do it at the end of a large match like the World Championships. Shoot the half of a day after the shoot-offs and the following day. All 40 round matches. If the gun is of a manufacture later than a certain year (1985?) you must shoot cast bullet ammo. Older guns (pick a year that would exclude the BF’s, MOA’s and FA’s) can shoot jacketed bullets. That would even the field a bit and make it interesting. Almost everyone has some old silhouette pistols in the back of their gun safe. This would be a great excuse to dust them off and work up some new loads. Sound interesting??

Re: Big bore Retro match????
I like the idea!
I believe one thing that may bolster our numbers is exciting & creative "side shoots". Back in my IPSC days I enjoyed some of the side shoots we did more than the actual match & as often as not went to the match's for those side shoots.
