Despite strong winds and a threat of rain, we got our match in today. Ten guns were run through and some very good scores were fired. My brother Philip shot a 40X40 in UAS even though he was sick and running a fever. Carey Templet is coming into his own with two perfect scores today; one in UAS and one in PHSC. Robert Stevens shot a 40X40 in UAS/AAA and Ellis Sisk shot a perfect score on PH22 using his Freedom Arms revolver. First time shooter Kyle Devall shot a very impressive 39X40 in UAS with a borrowed gun. He also stepped in and spotted for other shooters. Hopefully we can get him signed up as an IHMSA member and enjoy his company at the range more often. Former IHMSA member Steve Hernandez shot a couple of entries today and assured me that he would once again renew his membership and start shooting with us again. I’m still trying to recover from a leg injury but did manage to fire an entry today in the Unlimited category. I would have had a somewhat decent score had I not shot three turkeys in the wrong bank. I got a good laugh out of that slipup. Robert Stevens capped off a very good day with a 35X40 in UASFS.

Charlie, Too bad the quantity of shooters was low but they sure had the quality with those great scores. You are to be commended for hosting matches in LA and allowing these shooters to post such great scores. Keep of the great work. Get all healed up so you won't get confused on the turkey banks.
