2011 Internationals Meetings
What happened this year at the annual meetings in Fort Stockton. Did we have a quorum? What about the Board of Directors meeting? Were any changes offered or adopted?

Hi
There was a Quorum. The one thing that jumps to my memory is that we should soon be allowed to use replacement springs in our production guns from producers other than the manufacturer. Yearly due are going to be raised to $50.00 a year.

Re: 2011 Internationals Meetings
I asked Nancy to bring a couple items before the board. Hopefully they have been addressed.
This is another thing IMO that needs to be addressed... What viable organization only addresses its needs once a year? Sure 30yrs ago given how spread out we are that may have made sense. Today with conference calls, email, online chat rooms or any of a number of means it just doesnt make sense.
I am not suggesting that the board convene weekly but at least quarterly!

Re: 2011 Internationals Meetings
Thanks for the report John. Was there any mention of the Practical Hunter Category numbers? I was wondering how it was doing. The replacement spring issue is really not an issue with me. A Wolff spring kit is simply an easier way to get a lighter trigger pull, rather than paying a gunsmith to cut factory springs.

Re: 2011 Internationals Meetings
I also don't have a problem with springs. It is almost unenforceable as a rule anyway. A point to consider as it pertains to springs and the new Practical Hunter category......many of those hunting guns will have aftermarket springs in them already and would be illegal otherwise.
The dues increase was inevitable because of inflation.
I wonder if anything was done about what was discussed here a few weeks ago concerning requiring 2 entries in the prior year to compete in a Championship match?

What about a lifetime membership? Did the price change on that?
