survied Ft Stockton

Post by 686 »

I just got home about 5:30 last night. What a long drive. I did not do as good as I was hopping with one gun, but did better with others. It was nice meeting the people I see and read about in the IHMSA news paper. Every one was so nice and I could have did as good as I did with out there help. I was the one with the little red wagon and could not get up and down very well. I am sure pictures and scores will be posted as soon as they can get every thing unpacked. Thanks again to all. Nope, but wish that I had meet you there. I didn't make the internationals. Been getting the info from HQ.

This was my first and probably my only International to go to. I had a blast but am sad to not see much forum chat before it or after. I guess i am just excited to have made it and all others it is old school. There was a 10 yr. old boy there that is worth watching. Not only can he shoot but i watched him spot for his grand dad and his calls were spot on . I only wish i had of had a spotter all the way , only had one on 2-3 stages and for my shoot offs. more needs to talk about there experience there. It was nice and also sad to see 20 % of the shooters from out side the USA. I will post some pictures as soon as i can get my daughter to do it for me. Again thanks to all for helping this old cripple shooter at the match. I was totaly good getting around 16 mo. ago. Bottom line, GET YOU PSA TESTED before it is too late. Thanks Charles Nickolson from Florida .

Charles,
When you look at the total IHMSA membership numbers, and compare it to the number of people active on this forum, it's easy to understand why there is so little chatter here about the Internationals. The "IHMSA News" is the official journal of IHMSA and that is where nearly all of the organization's leadership will discuss all things "silhouette". Aside from that, people who are active on this forum are a fraction of IHMSA membership.

I wish I could have attended the Internationals myself. I'd also love to make it to the WCC, and the ECC. The problem is, I'm not made out of money. I can only afford one major road trip a year...........and sometimes not even one. Most years I try to make it to our Regional Championship and that has been my plan again this year.
