WTB Bear Track Pistol case

Post by Jimologist »

I am looking for a Freedom Arms Bear Track Pistol case and need a specific size. They called it a two layer handgun case and the size was 20" x 13" x 6.5".

Any help is appreciated.

Jim, I have one that is made by ''Kalispell''. I assume they are available. It is good size enough to hold two scoped XPs. Richard

Hi Richard,

I have several cases that are bigger, including the Bear. Track silhouette cases that measure 27 " x 15" x 6.5"
I'm looking for the two layer pistol case for the specific size.
I'm flying to a couple matches and want that exact size case for ease of transportation.
What are the dimensions of the Kalispel? They made a fantastic case that was as good as the Bear Track case. It's kind of too bad Freedom Arms and Kalispel both quit making cases. When they were that good they never wore out so you didn't have to replace them.
Thanks for replying, Richard , you are a gentleman and a scholar!

Jim its dimensions are 26'' x 17.5'' x 6'', all taken on the outside. I can see the value of the double stack for air travel. Maybe someone will have one you could use. By the way----you are too gracious. Richard

Hi Richard,
Thanks for measuring, but it is too close to what I already have. I'll keep looking for the slightly smaller one.

Jim,

In addition to my Bear Track Silhouette Case (which I used to fly to Brazil & it is still perfect) I have 2 ICC cases. They are exceptionally well made. They do not offer the size you want (I believe) but there is a chance they would build you a custom case. I would suggest contacting them. Their product is excellent (but not the Bentley quality of a Bear Track). Home page here.

Let us know if you contact them & how it goes.

Jim, and interested others, you might try 2ndamendmentproducts.com or call 954 270 6769 in Port St Lucie Fl. They advertise ''airline approved''. They might offer something suitable. Richard

My suggestion is to call these fine folks:

LEGACY GUN CASES
108 Town and Country Drive
Coleridge, NE 68727-2616
Phone: (402) 283-4651

They make great custom cases! Many of the guys I shoot with have their cases and love them. They will make cases to whatever dimensions and configurations you want. They don't have a website that I know of, they just make great cases.

Hi Steve,

I just ordered an ICC case . They have a discontinued pistol case that is close to the dimensions I want .
It was 24" x 14"x 4.5"
Best part is it is HALF PRICE!!

Go to their website and click on sale it is a steal of price.

Thanks Steve and thanks to all who chimed in.
