Big Kudos to Region 8 and Wyoming state shoot

A huge thank you and congratulations goes out to all of those who have been involved in putting on the recent Region 8 shoot in Pringle, SD and the Wyoming state shoot which just finished this weekend. The Region 8 shoot (ND, SD, WY, NB, CO, and Saskatchewan) was a huge success over the Labor Day weekend, with the 2nd most entries ever (270+ guns). In addition to those in our region, we had shooters Don Klein from Missouri, and then Steve Martens, John Richards, and Nancy & Ken LaCroix from Minnesota attending the shoot. Needless to say, those shooters from outside our region certainly elevated the level of competition, and we appreciate that a great deal and hope they come back every year.
The Wyoming state shoot just concluded today, and there was a record turnout for that. In addition to Wyoming, there were shooters from South Datoka, Nebraska, Canada, Colorado, Kansas (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone...), and Wyoming set the all-time record for the # of guns ran through. IHMSA membership is up for this year, and as far as we can tell out here in the West, IHMSA ins't just going but it's growing! For anyone looking for a good vacation, this is a great time of year to come out to the Rocky Mountains or the Black Hills. Aside from CO, all shoots are open to anybody out there. Best of all, we never go hungry at any of these events! Thank you to everybody that made both of these shoots incredibly successful.
