Texas Fifth Scale Forty……Finally!
Texas finally has its first fifth scale forty! John Weaver took some time between his duties as match director to shoot the first fifth scale forty in the state of Texas. The event was at the CTSA club near New Braunfels where John along with the help of his wife, Robin, and others (Hey Buddy!) run a two-day match each month. It’s been a long time coming with other shooters shooting a lot of 38’s and 39’s but John finally took care of business! Good thing he got it taken care of on Saturday because it got a little chilly on Sunday including some freezing temperatures and sleet. Good shooting and congratulations!
No job is so simple that it cannot be done incorrectly.

If anyone in Texas could do it, it would be John Weaver. He is an excellent shot as well as being an upstanding gentleman, and it is my pleasure to know him.
