We had an extra Sunday this month, so we were able to get in an extra match. Walt and Joe both had 40 x 40’s, with Walt knocking down 5 shoot off targets. Larry Egan had a great day with good scores in both big bore and .22 class, 37 and 36 respectively. My ram saga continues, but I only left 4 hit targets standing this month. Unfortunately I missed a pig. In .22 class, I let a turkey escape and then managed to hit all the shoot-off targets. One of them spun around on the stand a couple of times, but didn’t fall off—so I figure that is good for ½. Jim Kesser had two fine fine field pistol scores and also shot big bore standing. We haven’t had any shooters in that class for several years. Special thanks to Jim who always sticks around and helps us put away our targets. Your help is really appreciated.
Only one more month for shooting. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us. Our last match of the year will be on Sunday, October 28. Hope to see you there.
