Replying to my own Post: Still have not received my membership card so contacted Stephen Kuehl (IMHSA President) and he told me that when Paying Via PayPal for either a new or renewal of Membership. It is necessary to fill out the renewal form and send it to Cathy who takes care of membership payments. Not sure where this information is available on the website, but is it somewhere? I'm not trying to be a wet blanket or whiner, just putting out information that is not obviously available at this time. I will post when I finally get my card and guess I'll see how long this process takes now that I have completed the final part of the Memmbership process, let you know when I do

Since I maintain the website, This is the first I heard of this requirement. I do know paying Paypal, it takes longer to get your Card.

Since I am a life member, I only get a new card when I need one.

It was not/is not/should not be necessary to send the paper form. All information needed to renew is on the paypal invoice.

We never required that for the renewal process. I don't believe that was communicated anywhere to the membership.

The process to get a card can be not what we expect sometimes. If you can print out a receipt of where you paid. Show it to the match director. He should let you shoot as APPLIED if you are a new member. If you are already a member, use your number. Either way write down your scores. Then have the match director record them on the card.

Stephen Kuehl IHMSA President suggested I needed to fill out the form when I emailed him I was having trouble. Any way Cathy Gillyer, who I guess mails out the cards and rule book says she sent it out on the 20th of January, but I have still not received it, I guess it is a problem with USPS. I let Cathy know so I am not sure if she wants to wait a while or going to send another right away. Really not a good first impression of the IHMSA, but like they say "Sh#t happens" and hardly IHMSA's fault if the USPS drops the ball, the address was correct though. Hopefully, it will get sorted out soon, I'm in Oregon and not sure where Cathy is mailing stuff out from. At least I'll :D have good idea how to renew next year :D

Cathy is really efficient, I imagine the USPS is to blame.
I do bookkeeping for a HVAC company, And I have had more trouble with customers not getting invoices, and me not receiving checks in the past year than you can imagine.
I sold a scope to a guy in MD and it took 18 days for his check to get to me in SC.

Ya, I contacted the post office and of course all they could tell me about how longs it takes or if its lost is, "it depends. if the label was damaged or if the sorting machines could not read the label, if that's the problem it could get delayed a long time because of staffing issues. Or maybe the delivery was made to the wrong address, and last but not least mail theft, but we've never had an issue with that. So if the label was large clearly addressed and not hand written, doesn't get damaged in route and delivered but not stolen I should get it in 5 business days. Thanks for the helpful inputs, think I'm just going to have a beer and not worry about it :!!

USPS is getting increasingly erratic! In the past month I've gotten mail and packages intended for other addresses on my street and had a T/C barrel take a whole month to be delivered, two weeks after a missing mail event was submitted. (Notification of impending delivery was only a day before it's arrival. Completely intact and with a good label when it arrived, BTW.) Happily, my new IHMSA card showed up promptly after doing the PayPal thing.

USPS (and UPS), The shipping times have been downright pitiful for the last year.

1. Just had a letter Take 12 Days to go 13 Miles!
2. Had another Payment for my Homeowners insurance take 13 days to arrive! along with that, They cancelled my Insurance as the company only gave me 15 Days to pay it!

3. Right now I just mailed out 2 Match package orders using One rate Priority service. Both showed 3 days shipping and shipped at the same time.. One package took 4 days! The other has now been in shipment for 7 Days and still not arrived.

do not expect much from USPS. I have been monitoring them and first Class mail has been taking anywhere from 7 to 21 Days based on the postmark on the letter.
