Finally, a nice day and a pretty good turnout for shooters. Competition was tough in Big Bore UAS with Tom Wood leading the way with a 40 X 40 plus 6 shoot off targets. Joe Puffert and Dean Grua also had 40 X 40’s but didn’t get as many shoot off targets. Walt Sweet was also on his way to a 40 X 40 when a gun malfunction caused him to miss 4 rams. Walt came back and shot the little critters getting his 40 X 40 plus 7 shoot off targets. Dean and Tom also each had another 40 x 40—Dean in U-INT and Tom as a re-entry.
In .22 class Greg Rhineheimer got a 40 X 40 plus 4/5 shoot off targets, edging out my 40 X 40 plus 2/5 shoot off targets. I was just so excited about getting my 2nd ever 40X40 and finally making it into International class that I could not concentrate on those little teeny tiny chickens. Ricky Foster had a little trouble with his first entry, but came back with a fine 38 as a re-entry.
Our May shoots are May 19 and May 27. Hope to see you there.
