Getting people interested in IHMSA

Hello everyone, we have come up with an idea to get people interested in IHMSA.

With the current component shortage people will do or pay just about anything for primers, powder, bullets, ammo etc.
IHMSA folks are naturally hoarders. So nearly all of us have more than we need or regularly use.

I belong to a gun club that has over 1000 members. Before our next match I will ask the club secretary to post a notice on the club website and send an email to all members. Announcing that we are going to have a swap meet at our next match.
There will be powder, primers, bullets and ammo available.

All of our shooters are sorting through their stuff to sell off any extras or un-needed components.

The catch to anyone that is not a regular shooter is that they must shoot an entry before they can participate in the swap meet. Nothing will be displayed until the entries are shot. We will probably spend more time coaching than shooting but it may be worth it.

It is a chance to get people to shoot and to make a little extra cash for un-needed items.

We have a full set of Field Pistol targets set at 25 yards, similar to LASC's Glock alley. Just something easy to get them hooked.

It may not get a ton of new shooters but it may get a few and every one counts.
Good luck and thank you
Joe

I did this very thing at my match last weekend. Our swap meet was geared toward keeping current shooters in the game. We don't have a gun club here. We use the Sheriff's range so I only networked with my usual shooters.
