Jared Richards is a new father and does not have the time for IHMSA News especially the data re-entry of match reports. My wife, April, and I are working on an IHMSA News for January/February that will be mailed with new membership cards. Since we have only been doing a few issues per year, I would like to have a February issue and an August issue. These issues will include match reports for half of the year as well as financial reports.

Having an issue a couple of times a years sort of defeats the purpose of having an issue at all. These types of publications have, from the beginning, reported current news. An issue a couple of times a year is a historical publication, not a news publication.

Thank you Doug
It takes a ton of work to put an issue together.

Most of the members do not have a clue what takes to put out a monthly publication, run a match let alone the INT.s, nor keep up with scores and score cards. If you have a problem with any of this then my suggestion would be to try to help out or better yet try to do just one of the number of chores your self and try to keep a civil head and try to keep your regular job happy. Been there done that, so don't come back to preach to me.

If that is the case, then I would suggest not advertising the fact that if you join IHMSA, and pay the extra fee, you will get a monthly copy of the news! And, I ran matches for 10 years in Texas, so I DO know what it's like to run a match. Attitudes like that above might be why we have less than 300 members world wide.

The option to purchase IHMSA News for $20 has been removed from hard copy renewal forms and PayPal. Since becoming President, I have refunded the $20 to anyone who paid for IHMSA News.
