The ''Whisper / Blackout'' cartridges are on the .223 / 5.56 case. .378 bolt face.
I have served as assistant match director, Southern Silhouette club, 1980s. Also, the Griffin Gun Club for Silhouette during the 1990s, to about 2005. For a short period I authored the ''Cast Bullet'' section of The IHMSA News. Joined IHMSA March 1979.

actually, the New whisper cartridges like the 338 whisper, 375 whisper, etc are on the 7BR case. so he was partially right.

He is correct about the whisper on the 7BR case.

The 338 whisper #2 is the largest one you can get on the fireball case. Just my $.02
