I have a Rex Merrill “silhouette pistol” in 7 mm Laser Jr, purchased from a local dealer.
It came with cases formed from .307 Winchester brass shortened to 1.595” and a set of dies.
I can find no load data for it anywhere and am hoping someone in your organization has some.

I have not personally worked with this case but it sounds just a little bigger than a 7 BR case.
I would think a mid-range 7BR load would at least give you a starting point.

I picked up a Rex Merrill Sportsman pistol with 2 barrels, one of them in 7mm Laser Jr. I didn’t find out until after the auction ended that fired brass was available in another lot. So I have no dies or fired brass for this barrel. Looking for dies or fired brass or even a reamer drawing for this cartridge. If I can make a couple of fired cases, then I can get a set of dies made.
I understand that it’s based on a shortened .307 Winchester case. It’s supposed to be similar to a rimmed 7mm BR, but longer with an OAL of 1.595”. I suspect that it could be formed from .307 brass using the old RCBS forming die set for the 7mm BR. Have no idea about shoulder length or angle for the fired cases.
Does anybody have any information on the 7mm Laser Jr?
