I just bought this gun on GunBroker from a dealer in Simi Valley, CA.
This gun was on consignment so don't know who the owner was.
I would like to get in touch with the owner to get some history on this gun.
It is in 270 BR which I find very interesting having owned other caliber BR guns.
If anyone has any knowledge of this gun please contact me at
shultza@watchtv.net
If anyone knows the pervious owner of this gun please pass my email address to him/her.
Thanks for looking.
Lynn
UPDATE - I was informed by the selling dealer this gun was consigned by a widow so I'm hoping that a shooting friend of her past husband will be able to provide some info.
Did I forget to say YELLOW is my favorite color?????

270 br was used a lot in 90's in unlimited standing. Based on where sold, I think Mike Dewey or Jim Harris might know who owned it.

Dan, I have checked with Jim already but he does not remember seeing this gun. I hope Mike sees this thread and has some info.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Can't wait to try it next year.

Lynn,
If it will stabilize 150 grain bullets, I have a couple thousand looking for a new home. My MOA 270 Max either isn't fast enough twist or the 10 inch barrel won't build enough speed and they start to keyhole at 100m.
Good luck in your search.

Seems like I remember that Iron Sight Gun Works built some XP’s way back.

Melvin, I wonder if the name on the stock was a model offered years ago by ISGW.
The gun was advertised as 270 BR but the barrel is not stamped so I'm wondering if it really is a 270 BR.
I might be able to get the gun tomorrow and will check out the fired brass and maybe slug the barrel to make sure.
Sure hope I can get more history on this gun especially if it was built by ISGW.
Thanks for the tip.
Lynn

The guy that owned ISGW before Jim Rock bought it escapes me right now. He chambered a lot of XPs in a case that was longer than a BR and shorter than a 308. I think there is a discussion on down about him. He liked .270. Richard Ottino in Northern Ky had one. If I find it I will edit this post.

Jerry Barlett made the 7 laser, for me & Jim Fields & I still have the ISGW sight book
Jim experimented using 7 Br brass to make the cases & it worked ok,It just has a short neck.

Bingo. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

. Again Richard's was a .270.
Lynn be sure to do a chamber cast or take it out of the stock.

Thanks guys. Keep the info coming!!!
It is at my dealer now and I will pick it up soon. There is a bunch of fired BR brass and also new BR brass so that should give me a clue.
Two Neil Jones dies with the gun are marked 7 BR then have extra info about 270 so will just have to see what I have.
I'm hoping it is a 7 BR necked down to 277. That would be the easiest to work with.
Thanks again!!!!!
