I posted the final category results today just about the same time Jackie Brown did but I put them in the World Championship index that is all the way at the bottom of the list. The post was in response to members asking for the results.
Jim Fields sent them to me as a word document. To the best of my knowledge, phpBB boards won't post a word document directly. So, I converted the word doc to .pdf then converted that do a .jpg file which is easy to post. Sounds complex but it only takes a few mouse clicks.
I agree that this forum, as part of the official IHMSA site, should be the main organ and not Facebook. However, as others have said, it is a lot easier to do certain things on FB. Younger members are going to migrate there because of its ease of use. Perhaps there is a way to make the IHMSA site more user-friendly in terms of posting photos and other file formats. Making it so is above my pay grade. There needs to be a free flow of all information and if FB grows even more anti-gun then this site will need to be updated somehow. I for one like to see pics of other's guns and see match results. If the sport is going to attract new and younger shooter then we must adapt or we'll just fade away just like all the service clubs and fraternal groups nationwide.

Just to keep people informed of the details of this login issue and needed update. The Forum, which seems to be the go-to source of IHMSA information, was built by a person that I can no longer get to engage. The very first issue that I encountered with the Forum was the security question, I requested to the original builder that this be changed, never happened. I can't change it because the original builder is the only able to do so. I volunteered my time to build the website for IHMSA several years ago and do my best to make changes and improvements as needed there. The Forum is an animal all it's own, it would be nice to see the main vehicle of IHMSA information become more friendly. I also know that before the present Forum there was an earlier version; as this media type goes there's always room and time to improve.

Actually, Jim and the board is trying to get the Match program updated. The match program is almost 15 years old and needs to be updated. Since the company who wrote the program is now out of business, it is up to us to get it updated.

the forums are a whole different problem. The security question was added to prevent spammers and Bots from making a mess of the forums. and As Proclaim said, if we cannot get hold of the Master admin account, we cannot change this. I run my own website/forums but I am using Vbulletin but as soon as we can gain access to the main account, I will help Proclaim out as much as I can.

I asked about the "author" of this forum at Crittenden yesterday. They haven't seen him in years. Sorry I wasn't much help.

I don't understand why it asks for a security question to get on the site. I never knew it to before.
