It is with great sadness that I report the passing of long time IHMSA shooter Harold Smart.
Harold suffered a heart attack last Thursday and had been in the hospital but suffered complications and died last night.
Harold had been involved in silhouettes from the early days and was one of the principal guys at LHA club in Bellefontaine, Oh.
Our thoughts and prayers to his family in this time of grief.

Horrible news. I've known Harold since my first match in 1990, always enjoyed hanging out with him.
Prayers to his family.

Harold was one of the original founders of the Logan Handgun Association back in 1979. He held an office in the club since day one. He didn't shoot much but was always one of the first to volunteer on work days and spent many hours mowing our range which many have said resembles a golf course. Harold will be missed at our matches.

Harold was always a hoot to talk with and part of my extended Ohio family. I can't imagine LHA without him. Rest in peace.

I did not know Harold, but if he was like the rest of the Ohio shooters I know then he must have been a great guy.
Condolences to his family.
