To say it’s hot here in south Louisiana would be a gross understatement. Temperatures in the mid to upper 90s with high humidity make for torturous conditions. In spite of the heat, we had a fair turnout for our July match. Region 2 Director Allen Gaskin joined us today and fired a 40X40 in Unlimited with his Anschutz. Richard and Ginny West were on hand and my brother Philip joined us for his first match since moving back from Georgia. We had a pair of 40s fired In UAS and the shoot off went two rounds before Bill Bordelon edged Philip for the win. I can’t thank my wife Carolyn enough for setting the targets all day. I know she would much rather stay at home in the air conditioning, but every month she’s right here with us keeping the match running smoothly. Robert Stevens was with us again as was regular Floyd Younger. Thanks everyone for shooting with us this month. Special thanks also to Philip, Bill & Melissa for staying after the match to help pick up the targets and stands.
