Please take time to give thanks for veterans today. Especially the veterans from the greatest generation and most importantly, to the ones who did not come home. Sadly we are losing many of those important people who gave all for the freedom we enjoy today.

Thank God for men such as these ! He has passed on, but we had a IHMSA shooter here in Louisiana who lost a leg on Omaha Beach. So, in remembrance of him, I will dedicate this anniversary of D-Day to Mr. Al Chauvin of Houma, LA. Thank you, Mr. Al - to you and all of your comrades who started the final push to free Europe from Nazi tyranny.

Holy Small world braudman! I met him in 1989 the only time I was in Houma!
They truly were the greatest generation.

So, what were you doing down here in "God's Country" ?? Looking for crawfish ?? By the way, my Dad is a WWII Navy vet, he was a coxswain, and drove a Higgins boat during the invasion of Okinawa and later during the occupation of Japan. He will be 89 y/o on the 26th of this month.
