Contacting Shooting USA?????

I sent an email to Jim Scoutten at Shooting USA last year asking if they could provide some coverage to one of our championship matches. He said he could not cover the World Championship due to previous obligations but would be interested in covering one of our matches if he had at least a three month leadtime to plan for the coverage. Is anyone going to contact him for the ECC, WCC, World Championship or any other CC event? We have a chance to get some TV coverage. I'm just a nobody and not in any way associated with any of the championship matches so it would not be my place to contact him. Just curious!!!!

260 striker you have already been in contact with him, if it's alright with the powers that be invite them to the ECC. I think it would be great.

Greg, I sure wouldn't want to invite Shooting USA to the World Championship event since I am not a member of HQ and cannot represent all of IHMSA. Same goes for the ECC since I am not a part of the hosting club and not involved in planning the event. I'm just throwing this out for consideration by the appropriate ranges/officers. If the hosting organizations do not feel it is worth getting TV coverage then that is their decision. When our local club hosted our 35th anniversary match I did contact a local newspaper for coverage but I was directly involved in hosting that event. All it would take is an email to Jim Scoutten by the appropriate representatives to get the events scheduled.

Lynn,
If you can send me his email I'll get with Mark and we could email him as R3 and Ohio Directors.

Brian, I just forwarded you the email that Doug Edney and I got from Jim Scoutten last year. Thanks for looking into this. Hope someone from HQ or LASC does the same for the 2015 World Championship match. If anyone from LASC would like a copy of Jim's email from last year, please email me at
shultza@watchtv.net and I will forward that to you ASAP.

I was hoping to hear from the match director himself on this subject. Surley jimologist and the rest of the crew has no objection to inviting them. I am ready to mail my letters soliciting door prizes. I wanted to announce we had at least invited them to the match and that they may get some free publicity.

Since I have no definitive response. My secretary "read my wife" is printing the letters now. We are telling possible donors that we are inviting Shooting USA and Jim Scoutten to film the match. But we are explaining we don't know if they will accept the invitation or not.

Greg,
Thanks for your effort to round up donations. That was a good idea about mentioning Shooting Time MAY be there. Would give some big/free publicity to donors. Hope all this comes together.
